Atagawa IOP Weekend

Atagawa, located on the east coast of Izu, is one of the dive sites we have the chance to explore. Atagawa gets its name from the onsen surrounding the area that in turn makes the water steam year-round. Not only is it known for the plethora of onsen on land, but it is also known for its underwater attractions. Home to several pinnacles covered in coral colonies, the site is a hotspot for divers and underwater photographers as a result of the wide variety of macro marine life. This site has an easy beach entry and can support single tank, sidemount, and DPV diving.  

On Sunday Come join us at one of the oldest dive centers in Izu called Izu Ocean Park. Established in 1964 by Masuda Marine Productions, this dive center has been a host to thousands of divers annually and welcomes divers of all skill levels. Join us in exploring the underwater terrain created by lava flow from more than 4,000 years ago! As we make our way around, we’ll make a stop at the underwater postbox and send mail from the bottom of the ocean. But not all of the fun can be experienced in the water, we also have access to an outdoor onsen specially made for divers. What better way to spend our surface interval?

• 1 Shore dive, Lunch then another shore dive.

• Transfer to IOP by Train
